The purpose of this role is to help manage and implement the enterprise-wide risk management strategy, framework, and policies. It also involves conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation plans.
- Promote a culture of good corporate governance and compliance within the LGSETA.
- Provide daily guidance on the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (ERM) plan and oversee the full implementation of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). This ensures that strategic and operational risks are managed effectively to an acceptable level.
Job Requirements:
Minimum:
- Postgraduate Honours or Master’s degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Forensic Audit, or Business Administration. Alternatively, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification, ACCA, or CA (SA).
- Risk management experience as a Manager or Senior Risk Manager in a public sector organization.
- 5 years’ experience in implementing a Business Continuity Management System.
- Membership of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management (ISO 31000), COSO frameworks, PFMA/National Treasury, and Skills Development legislation.
The successful candidate’s salary is negotiable and based on a Total Cost to Company package that includes contributions to a retirement fund and medical aid.
- The LGSETA follows Employment Equity principles and may not make an appointment in all cases.
- The appointee must enter into a performance agreement with the employer.
