Position Overview:
We seek an experienced ICT professional to lead our Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity programs, ensuring operational resilience across municipal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain corporate Business Continuity strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Oversee Disaster Recovery planning for mission-critical systems and infrastructure
- Guide department-level continuity planning and strategy implementation
- Coordinate regular testing of emergency response protocols and recovery plans
- Manage technology risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Audit departmental recovery plans and implement improvements
- Lead disaster response operations and post-incident analysis
Essential Qualifications:
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in disaster recovery/business continuity roles
- Valid South African driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in ICT-related discipline
- Professional certification in business continuity management
- 6+ years’ relevant technical experience
