Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting/NQF Level 7 equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Mandatory MFMA Certification
• 3-5 Years Budget Management Experience in Municipal Environment
• Advanced Computer Literacy
Core Responsibilities:
• Lead Budget & Reporting Unit including payroll oversight
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements
• Develop municipal budgets aligned with MFMA regulations
• Monitor budget spending patterns and variance analysis
• Prepare compliance reports for National Treasury
• Implement financial control systems
• Liaise with internal departments and external auditors
Key Competencies:
• Advanced knowledge of Municipal Finance Management Act
• Financial reporting standards expertise
• Budget forecasting and analysis skills
• Leadership and team management capabilities
• Deadline-driven project management
