Role Purpose

Lead audit operations across multiple tax types while managing a team to achieve strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with tax legislation and optimize audit processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Tax/Accounting/Audit + 8-10 years audit experience (3-4 years at junior management level)
  • Option 2: National Diploma (NQF 6) in Accounting + 15 years audit experience (3-4 years at junior management level)

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee end-to-end audit processes including objections/appeals
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies for complex cases
  • Develop resource optimization plans meeting productivity targets

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to technical standards and legal requirements
  • Contribute to tax legislation development when required

Team Management

  • Build high-performance teams through skills development
  • Implement staff capacity plans aligned to operational targets
