Maintenance Assistant – VKB Milling, Modderrivier

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist with general duties such as plumbing, painting, welding, and plastering in the mill workshop.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 or NQF4
  • Good communication in English and Afrikaans is an advantage
  • Willing to work at elevated levels
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Punctual and ready to work overtime
  • Clean criminal record

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help reduce breakdowns and downtime in the plant to cut costs.
  • Assist with plumbing, painting, welding, and plastering maintenance tasks.
  • Help complete paperwork, check sheets, and job cards.
  • Follow occupational health and safety rules as per Flour Mills standards.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure quality service and products.
  • Complete all training assigned by your manager.
