Afrimat Limited, a leading black-empowered open-pit mining company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Low Bed Driver to join their team in Worcester, Western Cape.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full Time
• Qualification: Matric (Grade 12)
• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Low Bed Driver
• Location: Western Cape, South Africa
• Job Field: Engineering / Technical

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification
• Valid EC driver’s license (Code 14)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Medically fit as per the Mine Health & Safety Act
• 5 years of experience as a Low Bed Driver
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and methodically
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily pre-start checks on the low bed truck
• Operate the low bed truck safely and in line with manufacturer specifications
• Transport loads efficiently and responsibly
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the low bed truck
• Monitor gauges during operation and address issues promptly
• Work safely and adhere to all safety standards
• Be honest, motivated, and accountable in your role
• Perform end-of-day checks and close out duties properly
