**Responsibilities**

• Transport large quantities of goods over long distances safely and efficiently.
• Ensure prompt delivery of products to assigned customers, maintaining zero driver-related defects.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery details, delays, or issues.
• Monitor and enforce safe driving practices at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, vehicle maintenance, and cargo loads.
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Check tyres, lights, trailer couplings, oil, and water levels daily.
• Maintain the truck’s cleanliness and condition.
• Report defects or breakdowns promptly and adhere to safety practices.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and tyre changes when needed.
• Be available on the cell phone at all times.
• Adhere to speed limits and traffic rules to avoid fines.
• Comply with driving regulations and company policies.

**Qualifications**

• Matric qualification required.
• Valid Long Distance Code 14 driver’s license.
• Ability to drive for extended periods.
• Strong navigation skills.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Knowledge of road safety rules.
• Good communication skills.
