Role Overview
As a Junior Automation Engineer, you will develop and maintain basic automation workflows, write scripts, and support the integration of automation solutions with existing business systems. You will work closely with business teams to identify automation opportunities and ensure that solutions are reliable, well‑documented, and aligned with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing business systems.
- Write and troubleshoot scripts in PowerShell, Python, or C# for automation tasks.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand process requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Perform unit testing on automation workflows and document processes.
- Provide first‑level support for automation‑related issues.
- Monitor and optimise existing workflows for performance improvements.
- Attend meetings and represent Operations in working parties and customer meetings.
- Identify gaps in technical documentation and create or update customer documentation.

Experience
- 0–1 year of general IT experience.
- Exposure to the Microsoft 365 ecosystem is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate (flows, connectors, triggers).
- Familiarity with PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Understanding of basic coding principles (loops, conditions, variables).
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug simple automation workflows.
- Ability to create clear technical documentation.
- Quick learner who can use documentation and online resources to master new technologies.
Qualifications
- National High School Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
- Any Information Technology certification (e.g., N+, A+, etc.) is a plus.
