Job Title: Line Haul Driver – Skooch – Vredendal

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles to transport freight between hubs and distribution centers
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while following transportation laws and company policies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Secure loads properly during transit
• Maintain accurate logs using electronic logging devices
• Adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance as needed
• Follow company procedures for freight handling and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Driver’s License (Code 14)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in long-haul or regional driving
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Ability to use GPS and electronic logging devices
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to lift and secure freight as needed
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with trailers
• Basic mechanical knowledge for truck troubleshooting
• Previous experience in logistics or freight transportation
