The JD Group is a leading consumer finance provider and retailer in South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Line Haul Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport freight between hubs and distribution centers
  • Ensure timely pickups and deliveries
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips
  • Secure loads properly during transit
  • Maintain accurate logs of work hours, mileage, and load details
  • Follow safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance
  • Follow company policies for handling freight

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 14)
  • Minimum 3+ years of long-haul or regional driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to use GPS and electronic logging devices
  • Strong time management skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and secure freight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with trailers
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for truck troubleshooting
  • Previous experience in logistics or freight transportation
