Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles to transport freight between hubs and distribution centres
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation laws and company policies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
• Secure load properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and load details using electronic logging devices
• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure safe operation
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and report any delays, mechanical issues, or accidents promptly
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the vehicle as needed
• Follow company policies and procedures for handling freight and ensuring customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Driver’s License (Code 14)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in long-haul or regional driving
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Ability to operate GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to lift and secure freight as needed
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with trailers
• Mechanical knowledge for basic truck troubleshooting
• Previous experience working in logistics or freight transportation
