Legal Advisor: Litigation Management (2 Positions)

Requirements:

  • A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB). Computer literacy in MS Office is essential, along with a valid driver’s license. Admission as an Attorney is an added advantage. Candidates must have 2-5 years of relevant legal experience.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide advice to departments on litigation matters.
  • Support advisory services across the municipality.
  • Manage contract and tender documents.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and statutory frameworks and processes.
  • Prepare for and represent the municipality in conciliation or arbitration cases at the South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) or Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
