Job Description
This learnership provides structured, work‑based learning that equips participants with commercial acumen and practical skills to serve customers, grow volume, and manage merchandising standards for direct and indirect customers in a designated area.
The role reports to the Account Developer and involves:
- Executing daily call schedules across assigned outlets.
- Implementing visual merchandising standards, stock rotation, and in‑store displays in line with brand guidelines.
- Ensuring product quality, availability, and visibility according to RED and execution scorecard standards, including completing the iRED survey.
- Supporting and educating customers on placing orders through the MyCCBA platform.
- Assisting in promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
- Providing relief support as directed by the line manager.
Interaction
The role interacts with:
- Sales team members – collaborating on daily tasks and sharing knowledge.
- Account Developer – receiving guidance, training, and feedback.
- Consumers – understanding preferences and behaviours to inform sales strategies.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum pass 40%).
- Grade 12 communication with English and a second language (minimum pass 40%).
- South African citizen.
- Available to work six days a week.
- Employment Equity candidate.
- Age 18–35.
- No criminal record or adverse credit record.
- Consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification.
- Driver’s licence is advantageous (may be required for travel).
- Not enrolled in any current learnership or full‑time studies.
- Not previously completed the same qualification/learnership elsewhere.
- Unemployed at the time of appointment.
- Post‑matric qualification in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
Learnership Details
Participants must obtain a minimum of 120 credits to qualify for the qualification. The learnership runs for 12 months.
