Job Purpose

To ensure a safe, accident-free, and user-friendly town through effective traffic law enforcement.

Key Performance Areas

• Monitor adherence to traffic laws.
• Perform ad-hoc inspections and observations to identify defective road signs, marks, and traffic flow problems.
• Facilitate the issuing of summonses and notices.
• Control traffic for funerals, school patrols, accidents, or other purposes.
• Perform driver duties using a vehicle to transport equipment and people.

The Law Enforcement Officer must ensure that daily work is completed to satisfaction and achieves the necessary objectives of the Council.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
• Traffic Diploma.
• One (1) year of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Code A and EC Driver’s License.
