Position Overview

  • Contract Type: Full-Time Fixed-Term (3 Years)
  • Required Qualification: MSc in Nematology/Environmental Sciences/Zoology
  • Experience Level: Entry-level Researchers Welcome
  • Key Focus: Laboratory Research & Fieldwork Coordination

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct DNA extraction and PCR analysis for nematode studies
  • Manage nematode characterization and species identification
  • Coordinate field sample collection in rural areas
  • Maintain laboratory records and diagnostic reporting
  • Support research project budgeting and reporting
  • Contribute to scientific publications and farmer training programs
  • Supervise student researchers and junior staff
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols

Essential Requirements

  • MSc degree in relevant biological science field
  • Practical experience with molecular biology techniques
  • Proficiency in data management software
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B + EB)
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in team-based agricultural research
