Job Description

Raizcorp needs a junior communications writer for a one-year internship. If you love turning product updates and technical details into clear, helpful content that people enjoy reading, this role is for you. You will support different communities in two of our premium software platforms. Your work will include writing weekly updates, release notes, and creating help content like FAQs, glossaries, and knowledge bases.

What You Will Do

You will create weekly content for various groups, such as:

  • System partners (resellers)
  • System users
  • System administrators
  • Company employees who use these systems
  • Partner Elite Community
  • Special partner communities

Your main tasks will include:

  • Writing about new and upcoming features
  • Creating post-release updates (what changed, what to expect, next steps)
  • Maintaining internal system content, including:
    • FAQs
    • System definitions and dictionary entries
    • Glossaries
    • Knowledge base articles and help documents
  • Making how-to videos with screen-recording tools (this will be a regular task)
  • Helping manage communities by keeping databases accurate and up to date

What We Are Looking For

  • Some experience in writing documents or articles (from work, internships, freelance, or student projects – we need writing samples if you reach the interview stage)
  • Strong English writing skills with a clear, organized style
  • An A grade for English in Matric (required)
  • A relevant degree in literature, writing, English, communications, or journalism (required)
  • Comfortable handling details and meeting weekly deadlines
  • Experience in technical writing (like SaaS guides, user manuals, SOPs, release notes, or help articles) is a plus
  • Writing for online communities or customer communications is a plus
  • Basic skills in creating or editing screen-recorded tutorial videos is a plus
  • Provide 2–3 writing samples (at least one showing structured, instructional writing, like a how-to guide or explainer)

  • Enjoy learning software and understanding how it works
  • Can explain technical terms in simple language while keeping it accurate
  • Are organized and can manage work for multiple groups
  • Take feedback well and revise your work quickly
