Job Purpose

  • To analyze jobs and determine the key performance areas, processes, and outcomes of tasks. To identify the person specifications for the job and create a complete job description.
  • This post reports to the Principal Grading and Remuneration Advisor.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Develop job profiles for all positions in eThekwini Municipality to create job descriptions.
  • Coordinate and maintain the process of summarizing jobs into key performance areas for advertising posts.
  • Provide advice to line managers and Human Resources staff on job descriptions, specifications, and reporting relationships.
  • Profile job competencies according to established frameworks.
  • Handle all administration related to job analysis.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management or related qualification.

  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resource Management or related qualification.
  • 3 Years relevant experience.
