Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time Position
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
- Experience Level: 2-5 years in IT systems administration
- Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
- Department: Information & Communication Technology
Technical Requirements
- 3-year tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/containerization technologies (advantageous)
- Expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems (SLES, REDHat)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies
- Valid Code B driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize critical server infrastructure
- Implement system performance monitoring solutions
- Manage Azure Landing Zone configurations
- Ensure 24/7 system availability for municipal services
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments
