Internship: Supply Chain Management Intern

About Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA)

SHRA is a Schedule 3A public entity under the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). We facilitate state-subsidized rental housing for low-to-medium income earners (R1,850 – R22,000/month), contributing to social restructuring and sustainable communities across South Africa.

Position Overview

  • Job Type: Contract

  • Field: Supply Chain Management & Procurement

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts and tender evaluations (RFQ/RFP/RFB)
  • Ensure compliance with PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, and SCM regulations
  • Process purchase orders and track delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, invoices, and procurement documents
  • Support document management aligned with ISO standards
  • Resolve supply chain issues for internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide general administrative assistance

Qualifications

  • Matric Certificate (Essential)
  • National Diploma/NQF 6 in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Purchasing
  • Bachelor’s Degree/NQF 7 in related field (Advantageous)
