Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory buffers and growth media
- Isolate, purify, and preserve bacterial cultures
- Conduct DNA extraction and PCR analysis
- Maintain national bacterial culture collection
- Support field sampling across multiple provinces
- Assist with glasshouse trials and soil preparation
- Maintain quality control and safety protocols
- Perform data capture and research support
Requirements:
- National Diploma/BSc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Plant Pathology or related field
- Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
- Practical lab experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license for fieldwork
- Familiarity with bacterial preservation techniques
- Willingness to travel for sample collection
