About the Role:

Join the City of Johannesburg in a dynamic internship focused on shaping policies and strategies to advance urban development. This role offers hands-on experience in research, stakeholder engagement, and public administration within Africa’s leading metropolitan municipality.

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) + Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in:
    • Public Administration/Policy
    • Law
    • Development Studies
    • Social Sciences or related fields
  • Proof of current enrollment from academic institution
  • Residency within Johannesburg city limits (mandatory)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to support policy development and strategy formulation
  • Assist in creating guidelines for urban development initiatives
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and public engagement programs
  • Provide administrative support for departmental operations
