Requirements
- A three-year tertiary qualification, such as a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7), in one of the following fields: Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Construction-related Engineering, Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene, Analytical Chemistry, Explosives Management, Explosives Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Duties
- Assist in conducting inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), its regulations, and related standards.
- Provide administrative support to inspectors. Help investigate incidents and complaints related to the OHS Act. Support enforcement activities and assist in preparing reports from inspections.
