Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Technician Production (Electrical) to join our team. You will support the engineering team with technical tasks that meet legal and regulatory standards. Your role will include creating technical designs and specifications, and helping to develop and maintain strategies for building structures, equipment maintenance, standards, and managing contracts and projects.

You will also maintain systems to gather reliable data on utility usage in health facilities. This involves controlling, monitoring, and reporting on resources to manage risks effectively. You will provide key information to support the operations of our professional services team and work closely with clients, stakeholders, and relevant councils.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993, the Health Act and Regulations (Act 61 of 2003), and the Engineering Profession Act of 2000.
  • Good understanding of computer programs like MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to prepare specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical), or registration as an Engineering Technician under section 14(1) or 14(2) of the Engineering Profession of South Africa Act, 1990.
  • Willingness to work overtime, travel, and stay away from home as needed throughout the Western Cape Province.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits

R 325 101 to R 382 959 per year, plus benefits including a 13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing allowance, and medical aid allowance.
