Requirements
- Grade 12/Senior Certificate qualification
- Computer literacy with accuracy in documentation
- Valid recommendation letter from community organization (issued within last 6 months)
- Understanding of Batho Pele principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily facility visits to engage with inmates and staff
- Monitor and report on incarceration conditions
- Document and investigate complaints from incarcerated persons
- Oversee incidents involving restraints, use of force, and segregation
- Support JICS officials during inspections
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports
