About the Role

The Handyman is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing campus facilities and furniture. The role ensures that all infrastructure meets safety and functional standards, and coordinates with external service providers when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly inspections of buildings to identify maintenance issues.
• Organise and perform general maintenance tasks in line with safety procedures.
• Report any breakages, hazards, or damages to the Principal.
• Assist with moving boxes, furniture, and deliveries; manage lock‑up and access control.
• Check fire equipment to confirm it is operational and compliant with legal requirements.
• Coordinate with external service providers to meet safety standards.
• Maintain equipment such as whiteboards, TVs, and projectors.
• Support the campus team during internal and external audits.
• Generate a weekly supply replacement list and submit it to the Principal by Friday.

Requirements

• Matric (high school diploma).
• Driver’s licence is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance or handyman experience.
• Physical ability to perform the required tasks.
• No outstanding fees to any educational facility.
• No criminal record.
