About NSFAS:

A public entity supporting South African students through bursaries for higher education at 26 universities and 50 TVET colleges.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR support to business units across employee lifecycle management
  • Facilitate recruitment processes from vacancy identification to onboarding
  • Implement performance management systems and staff development programs
  • Maintain compliance with labor legislation and HR best practices
  • Manage employee relations including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes
  • Analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision making
  • Coordinate training initiatives aligned with organizational needs

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management/Industrial Psychology (NQF7)
  • 5-7 years’ HR generalist experience
  • Thorough knowledge of South African labor laws
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Honors degree (NQF8) in relevant field
  • 8+ years’ HR experience
  • Public sector experience
  • Knowledge of NSFAS Act and PFMA
