Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and integrated HR advice and support to LGSETA in areas like labour relations, including collective bargaining, dispute resolution, grievance handling, and compliance with labour laws.
  • Offer guidance on employee engagement, organisational design, employment equity, diversity management, and employee wellbeing.

Job Requirements

  • A B-degree in Human Resources and a certificate in advanced labour relations (NQF Level 7). An Honours B-degree in HR/IR or OD, or a related postgraduate qualification, is ideal.
  • 4-6 years in human capital management, including 3 years in conciliation and arbitration at CCMA.
  • Experience in labour/union relations, in-depth knowledge of Employment Acts and Regulations, working knowledge of PFMA/PPPFA.
  • Report writing skills and computer literacy, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Plus, three years as an HR generalist.

Remuneration and Other Details

The successful applicant’s remuneration is negotiable, based on a Total-Cost-to-Company package that includes retirement fund and medical aid employer contributions.

  • LGSETA follows Employment Equity principles and reserves the right not to make an appointment.
  • The appointee must enter into a performance agreement with the employer.
