Position Overview

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Experience Required: 2-3 years minimum
Department: Roads & Stormwater Maintenance

Core Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty municipal vehicles (tipper trucks, crane trucks, low-bed trailers)
• Transport construction materials and equipment to worksites
• Maintain accurate operational logs and vehicle inspection reports
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for material distribution
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations

Required Qualifications

• Valid Code EC driver’s license
• Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• Certification in heavy plant operations
• Matric/NQF Level 4 certificate
• 3 years’ verified heavy vehicle operation experience
