Position Summary

We seek an experienced professional to lead our Technical Skills Development Centre, driving strategic workforce development initiatives and ensuring operational excellence in technical training programs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement SDC operational plans aligned with organizational strategy
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmark international best practices
  • Maintain expertise in South African skills development legislation
Operational Management
  • Manage accreditation processes with ETQA bodies
  • Develop performance measurement frameworks and reporting systems
  • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation
  • Implement quality assurance systems for training programs
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build partnerships with educational institutions and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with public/private sector partners on skills initiatives
  • Represent CDC in strategic skills development forums

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in HR/Related Field (Master’s/MBA preferred)
  • Experience: 10+ years training development experience with 5+ years senior management
  • Skills: Strategic planning, financial management, stakeholder relations
  • Competencies: Leadership, communication, problem-solving
