Remuneration: R880,228 p/a + 4% remote allowance + cellphone allowance
About the Role
Lead strategic direction for Community Services department, supporting Waste Management, Disaster Management, and Protection Services. Report directly to Municipal Manager.
Essential Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric + Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Public Administration/Law
- Municipal Finance Management Programme certification
- 5+ years middle management experience in local government
- Valid Code 10/B or C1 driver’s license
- Compliance with Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels
Key Competencies
- Expertise in community services and public safety legislation
- Strong knowledge of Traffic Management, Fire Services & Disaster Response
- Proficient in strategic planning and budget management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office suite)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all Community Services operations
- Develop and manage departmental budgets
- Implement service delivery strategies
- Ensure equitable distribution of municipal services
- Manage assets and resources effectively
