Position Summary

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Gauteng Province
Experience Required: 10+ years (5 years at Senior Management level)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred)
Fields: Healthcare Administration, Social Services, Public Administration

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for community services
  • Oversee healthcare programs (primary care, maternal health, HIV/AIDS initiatives)
  • Manage social development programs and environmental health services
  • Direct arts/culture initiatives and sports development programs
  • Lead municipal library services and knowledge management
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and service standards
  • Manage departmental budgets exceeding R500 million
  • Supervise cross-functional teams of 100+ staff members

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management/Social Sciences/Public Administration
  • Master’s degree in Business Leadership (MBL) preferred
  • Registration with Health Professions Council of SA (advantageous)
  • Proven track record in large-scale service delivery
