Requirements:
- HPCSA-registered Medical Specialist in Emergency Medicine (2025)
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post-specialization
- Non-SA citizens must provide valid work permits
- Expertise in clinical governance and healthcare legislation
- Teaching experience with junior staff (advantageous)
- Research/publication track record (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 24/7 Emergency Medicine operations
- Supervise patient care quality across departments
- Implement national clinical standards and safety protocols
- Manage staff training and performance evaluations
- Conduct clinical audits and research initiatives
- Oversee departmental budgeting and resource management
- Coordinate interdepartmental collaboration
- Develop community outreach programs
