Job Overview
The Graduate Trainee – Commercial (Sales) role is designed to build future commercial leaders. You will gain hands‑on experience in sales operations, distributor relationships and market execution across South Africa. The role supports the sales team in driving performance, improving customer engagement and growing the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Commercial Support
- Help implement the country sales strategy in line with regional and global goals.
- Assist with sales planning, forecasting and tracking of sell‑in and sell‑out data.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports, dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Distributor & Customer Collaboration
- Support distributor relationship management through performance tracking, stock monitoring and KPI reviews.
- Help prepare materials for distributor meetings, joint business plans and reviews.
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing and promotional data.
- Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Conduct market and competitor analysis, including pricing, promotions and channel activity.
- Identify commercial opportunities and risks within the South African market.
- Trade Marketing & Activation Support
- Assist with the implementation of trade marketing initiatives, promotions and point‑of‑sale materials.
- Support coordination of product launches and commercial activations.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams to ensure smooth commercial execution.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects as part of your development journey.
- Ensure 100% compliance with company legal and compliance policies and with South African laws and regulations.
- Apply a dermatology strategy mindset in daily tasks, both individually and as part of a team.
Qualifications & Skills
- South African citizen or eligible to work in South Africa.
- 0 to 1 year of work experience (internships are a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Commercial mindset with an interest in sales and customer engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
