Position Details

• Job Type: Full Time
• Qualifications: National Diploma/Certificate or Degree in Cartography, Geoinformatics or related field
• Experience: 3-4 years in GIS/data analysis
• Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
• Department: ICT/Infrastructure Data Analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate digital maps of electrical infrastructure
• Update and optimize electrical network data in GIS systems
• Provide technical support for network troubleshooting
• Process field survey data integration
• Resolve internal and external GIS data queries
• Collaborate with engineering teams to verify asset information

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• NQF Level 6 Diploma in GIS-related field
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic First Aid certification (or obtain within 6 months)
• 3 years’ relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• NQF Level 7 Degree in GIS-related field
• GIS software certification
• 4 years’ practical experience
