Job Description

Premier Port Elizabeth Depot is looking for a Loader to join the team. This role reports to the Dispatch Supervisor and involves loading and offloading bread on site. It is a 6-day position. If you meet the requirements below, we want to hear from you.

Other Requirements

  • You must work until the last truck is finished offloading.
  • This is a 6-day position.
  • You must work Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
  • You will work on a rotating shift basis.
  • Uniforms are issued at the garment store.

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12 with numerical skills.
  • Computer skills.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 months’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG industry.
  • Understanding of organizational processes.
  • Knowledge of business rules and procedures.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Numerical ability.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Teamwork.
  • Accountability.
  • Sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Respect for others.

Key Outputs

  • Offload and load bread according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Follow the correct sequence for loading and offloading.
  • Count and balance trays in trucks.
  • Attend daily team meetings.
  • Ensure only quality bread is loaded and offloaded.
  • Maintain correct stock rotation (first in, first out – FIFO).
  • Report any loading or offloading issues to the supervisor.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
