Role Description:
As a General Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety measures and ensuring the smooth operation of daily and hourly targets within a warehouse environment. You need to be proactive in updating required documents and ensuring that subsequent processes have sufficient work. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Complying with all safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Meeting daily and hourly targets while making sure that all necessary documentation is updated.
- Ensuring that the next processes have sufficient work and reporting any machine breakdowns to the team leader.
- Assisting in other areas when required and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards at your workstation.
- Adhering to the company’s rules and policies, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensuring that all firefighting equipment is in working condition and attending training sessions on fire safety.
- Taking necessary actions to avoid endangering yourself or fellow employees in case of fire and notifying the appropriate authorities if a fire occurs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Matric qualification.
- Additional vocational, specialized, technical, or certification qualifications are a plus.
- 2 years or less of experience working in a warehouse environment.
