Job Summary

An opportunity exists for an experienced General Worker – Assistant to help drivers with loading and offloading trucks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Medically fit
  • Reliable
  • Work safely and follow all safety rules
  • Ready to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Clean criminal record
  • Own reliable transport to and from work
  • Able to handle heavy equipment and machinery for cleaning
  • Able to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repeatedly during work hours
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Able to follow all reasonable instructions from a supervisor
  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist a truck driver with loading and/or offloading
  • Keep outside walkways clear and free of debris
  • Notify building management of any needed repairs
  • Clean the entire premises
  • Maintain the work environment
  • Perform other duties as required
