Education Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting major)
– Preferred: Chartered Accountant registration OR Master’s in Business Administration
Experience: 10+ years (5+ in governance/oversight roles)

Essential Requirements
- Expert knowledge of MFMA, MSA, and Public Sector compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- Valid EB driver’s license
- Proven track record in municipal financial oversight
Leadership Responsibilities
- Oversee key operational divisions:
- Quality Assurance & Compliance Certification
- Legal Oversight & Contract Management
- SCM Governance & Bid Committee Supervision
- Drive financial risk management through budget analysis and early warning systems
- Ensure institutional accountability through consequence management processes
- Align MTREF budgets with Integrated Development Plans
- Monitor GRAP compliance and audit resolution processes
Performance Priorities
- Develop and manage departmental operational budgets
- Maintain governance knowledge management systems
- Monitor service delivery performance metrics
- Supervise audit action plan implementation
