Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety assessments with blasting teams
- Prepare blast sites according to safety/legal standards
- Assist in hole mapping and depth verification
- Install safety barriers and warning systems
- Handle explosives/detonators under supervision
- Report drilling irregularities to supervisors
- Coordinate priming operations for blast holes
Candidate Requirements:
- Physical fitness for mining environments
- Knowledge of explosive handling protocols
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams
- Strong safety awareness
- Valid blasting assistant certification
