As a General Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience. You will help customers find items, answer their questions, process payments, and keep the store clean and organized. Your friendly and helpful attitude is essential for providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive image for our store.

What You Will Do

This is a list of tasks you will be responsible for on your workdays.

• Share accurate information about products, help customers choose, and show how to use them.
• Solve customer problems and ensure they are happy with the service.
• Greet customers, offer help, and answer questions with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Tell customers about sales and special offers to improve their shopping experience.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Handle cash and card payments, issue receipts, and process refunds and exchanges correctly.
• Receive deliveries, organize products, and keep track of stock.
• Place products on shelves neatly and make sure they are always available.
• Quickly restock items that are sold out.
• Properly dispose of store and storeroom waste and place it in the skip bin.
• Assist with stock takes.
• Follow safety, security, and environmental rules, policies, and procedures, including emergency responses.
• Clean designated areas such as the storeroom and kitchen.

Requirements

This is a list of things you need to be considered for this role.

• Matric.
• Experience as a General Assistant, General Worker, or General Clerk.
• Live within 25km of the job location.
• Clear criminal record.

Preferences

Meeting these preferences is a plus, but not required.

• South African candidates.
• Candidates between 18 and 35 years old.
