General Assistant – Building Department

Position Purpose
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining efficient yard operations. Ensure accurate product handling, clean work environments, and positive customer experiences to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Load customer vehicles and delivery trucks efficiently
- Maintain proper stock organization and accurate inventory counts
- Prepare materials for inter-branch transfers
- Identify and report stock shortages/damages
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers
- Package construction materials (sand/stone)
- Participate in inventory checks
Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Previous retail/warehouse experience preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic math skills for stock counting
- Team player with self-motivation
- Effective communication skills
- Physical capability for manual labor
- Stress management skills
