Main Purpose of the Job
You will be the frontline contact for customers, providing excellent service on the slots floor. You will also help with servicing and cleaning gaming machine components according to company standards and gaming rules.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Grade 12 with Natural Science and Mathematics, or
- N3 in Electrical/Electronic, and
- Meet the requirements for a gaming license.
Work Conditions and Special Requirements
- Work shifts to meet business needs.
- Physically fit to stand for long periods.
- Able to move machines and use job-related tools.
- Work in a smoking environment.

Key Performance Areas
Maintaining Gaming Machines
- Clean, service, replace, and test minor components of EGMs, gaming kiosks, displays, card readers, keypads, iView screens, note acceptors, EGM bases, gaming table equipment, signage, cashiering equipment, marketing, and promotional equipment (see work deliverable task register).
- Record all job cards.
- Move and place EGMs.
- Clean up after moves.
- Ensure responsible gambling program information is displayed.
Slots Floor Transactions
- Verify jackpot payouts.
- Complete and validate documentation.
- Identify, report, and resolve faults/tilts on machines.
- Identify and resolve transactional errors.
- Log faults with technical departments.
- Report defects in the gaming floor’s appearance and function.
- Escalate issues to technical, surveillance, security, or management teams.
- Resolve minor disputes and escalate as needed.
Gaming Technical Standards
- Clean up after moves.
- Keep workshop tidy and safe.
- Clean, store, and secure equipment.
Customer Engagement
- Connect with guests by welcoming them warmly, smiling, acknowledging arrivals and departures, and showing respect.
