We are currently seeking a Forklift Driver to join our team in North West.

Job Description

The successful candidate will operate and maintain a forklift in a safe and cost-effective manner while ensuring excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and operating the forklift safely
• Merchandising stock and ensuring proper shelf price labeling
• Maintaining housekeeping standards in designated areas
• Providing customer service and addressing customer queries

Requirements

• Grade 12 or 1 year of work-related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the region
• Basic calculation skills
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Physical fitness to operate a forklift
• Valid forklift license

Key Performance Areas

• CUSTOMER SERVICE: Acknowledge customers, determine their needs, and provide accurate product advice. Handle customer complaints promptly and offer additional services like delivery, glass cutting, and special orders.
• MERCHANDISING STANDARDS: Ensure bulk stock areas are merchandised safely and according to store layouts. Maintain a clean and obstacle-free environment for customers.
• SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Operate the forklift safely, wear required safety gear, and report any faults or service needs promptly.
