Forklift Driver

RCL Foods Beverages Team is looking for a Forklift Driver. The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Logistics Controller.

The main purpose of this role is to load and unload stock, pallets, and crates efficiently. Safety must always come first.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent
  • Valid Forklift Counterbalance Licence

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience operating a forklift in an operations, warehouse, or stores environment

Basic Computer Literacy and Knowledge

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick problem-solving skills
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and public holidays as needed
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of safety rules and HACCP principles

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Do daily cycle counts and monthly stock takes of pallets and crates
  • Inspect received materials and complete checklists
  • Load and offload the correct products in the right quantities for customers
  • Receive crates and pallets
  • Supply crates and pallets to production
  • Keep crates and pallets in their designated storage areas at all times

Safety Compliance

  • Operate forklifts according to standard procedures and company policies
  • Do daily checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs
  • Report any issues to your supervisor
  • Keep the area clean and tidy every day

Documentation

  • Keep accurate records of crate and pallet movements
  • Complete checklists and logs for equipment use and inspections
  • Enter received stock into SAP on time and match it with the admin team
