Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at the Grain Field Chickens Abattoir in Reitz. The successful candidate will operate a forklift with a lifting capacity exceeding 6,000 kg, focusing on loading, unloading, and moving goods according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification
- Valid Forklift License
- Clear criminal record
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Forklift Driver in a similar environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing/warehouse setting
- Tolerance for loud noise, moving machinery, and extreme temperatures
- Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and weekends as required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of the forklift and follow safety procedures
- Complete pre-shift forklift checklists
- Assist in unloading vehicles efficiently
- Operate forklift for tasks like picking, staging, and storing products
- Support in repacking and loading orders
- Report any damage or shrinkage promptly
- Be flexible with work schedules
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
