Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team. As a Forklift Driver at Cashbuild, you will operate and maintain the forklift safely and efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and assist with merchandising and housekeeping tasks within the store.
Key responsibilities include:
– Operating the forklift in a safe and cost-effective manner
– Providing excellent customer service, including assisting with queries and resolving complaints
– Merchandising stock and ensuring shelf price labeling is accurate
– Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
– Working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Requirements:
– Grade 12 or 1 year of relevant work experience
– Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the region
– Basic calculation skills
– Valid forklift license
– Physically fit to operate a forklift
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Performance Areas:
– Provide exceptional customer service, including assisting with product queries and ensuring purchases are loaded safely and efficiently.
– Ensure the bulk stock area is merchandised according to store layouts and planograms.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring aisles are free of obstacles.
– Comply with safety standards and wear required protective gear while operating the forklift.
– Identify and report any security concerns or suspicious behavior.
