  • Driver’s License Code B.

Duties

  • Ensure that approved new connections and upgrades are installed and commissioned.
  • Perform inspections to make sure staff and contractors follow safety standards.
  • Monitor the testing and inspection of new and existing installations.
  • Check compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate unsafe installations.
  • Investigate illegal connections and issue fines.
  • Monitor disconnections and reconnections.
  • Arrange daily inspection bookings for contractors.
  • Verify correct meter readings and conduct meter tests.
  • Keep records of all installations connected to the network.
  • Register new meters.
  • Attend to customer queries about electrical connections.
  • Compile monthly reports.
