About the Role

We are looking for a Flight Follower to support our flight operations team. The role involves tracking flights, monitoring weather, and communicating with pilots and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor flights in real time.
  • Check weather conditions along flight routes and at destination airports.
  • Provide pilots with weather updates and advise on potential hazards.
  • Notify stakeholders of any diversions or irregular routing.
  • Maintain communication with the flight deck crew during flights.
  • Manage driver schedules.
  • Assist the Flight Operations office as needed.
  • Communicate estimated time of arrival (ETA) to relevant parties.
  • Record flight movements using operational software.
  • Support emergency response efforts and provide assistance to pilots and passengers when required.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (aviation experience is an advantage).
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Own transport.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong time‑management skills.
  • Ability to identify irregularities in an aircraft’s planned movements.
