Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Fleet Controller to manage administrative tasks, supervise driver activities, and ensure efficient fleet operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning delivery schedules, monitoring driver performance, and maintaining vehicle safety and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Previous administration experience in a similar environment
• Computer literate and comfortable with data entry
• Experience with data capturing and reporting
• Willingness to work shifts as required
• Reliable, assertive, and able to work under pressure
• Pro‑active with a strong initiative to improve processes

Duties & Responsibilities

• Determine fleet and driver availability, compile delivery plans, and ensure effective implementation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of delivery plans against customer requirements.
• Conduct driver briefings and debriefings.
• Calculate fuel consumption and working hours.
• Manage safety processes, safety registers, and PPE compliance.
• Conduct breathalyzer tests and verify driver’s licence and PDPs.
• Monitor trucks and drivers using Mix Telematics.
• Track driver overtime and monitor fatigue.
• Complete post‑debrief checks and ensure proper sign‑off.
• Oversee maintenance of tires, trailers, and trucks.
• Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and certificates are correctly displayed.
• Handle general administrative tasks related to fleet operations.
• Communicate operational issues with customers.
• Manage customer complaints and support drivers with any challenges.
