Job Overview:
We are looking for a careful and organized Finance & Admin Officer to join our team in Rustenburg or nearby areas. You will handle daily financial checks, reconciliations, load creditors into the accounting system, and process payments.
Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
- Keep financial records accurate and current by entering data into the accounting system.
- Process invoices in the accounting system.
- Handle invoices on Nebula.
- Load payments weekly for approval.
- Spot areas where accruals are needed.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Talk to suppliers to fix billing problems or answer questions.
- Complete cashbooks and credit card reconciliations weekly or monthly.
- Reconcile all petty cash and credit cards.
- Do daily reconciliations between the Property Management System and the Accounting System.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Help prepare the annual budget and regular forecasts.
- Track budget performance and analyze differences.
- Offer financial advice to control costs.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Work with auditors during financial checks and provide needed documents.
- Complete OKRs based on management account data.
Cashflow Management:
- Watch cashflow to keep the business liquid and stable.
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and handle working capital.
Other Duties:
- Check daily sales on all charges and match them to activities, spa, and other revenue.
- Do daily reconciliations for EFTs, credit cards, and petty cash.
- Control stock, reconcile, and send remittances for supplier invoices and statements.
- Bank petty cash.
- Follow all checks for internal and external financial audits.
- Help with some administrative tasks.
- Assist with compliance reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or similar experience.
- At least 3 years in a similar role.
- Good with financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong skills in analysis and solving problems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; able to work alone or with others.
- Experience in lodge operations is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong communication and relationship skills with colleagues and suppliers.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize well.
- Understand reconciliations and their role in finance.
- Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
